This piece layers fabric, paper, pastels, and acrylic paint to create a composition that feels both collected and curated. At the center of it all is the ginger jar—a recurring symbol in my work. It represents the human desire to capture and contain nature, to preserve beauty in a way that’s both intentional and limiting. The jar’s presence in this piece is a reminder of the tension between celebrating nature and the act of trying to replicate it.
