The Vase in Milo’s Room

40”x30” mixed media collage on canvas.

This piece combines layers of textiles, paper, and acrylic paint to create a textured, multi-dimensional composition. The soft color palette and quiet atmosphere evoke a sense of nostalgia and the intimate stillness of a room—one that could belong to a child or a space in transition. The vase, while a simple object, plays with the idea of containment and imitation, a theme I return to often in my work. It’s about the tension between the natural world and the manmade structures we create to hold it.

This piece is currently exhibited by Design Supply.
