Peacock Manor leans into a more tropical, saturated palette, bringing together many of my favorite colors and textures. The piece is loosely inspired by my honeymoon in Kenya, filtered through everyday life at home—specifically the wild peacocks that roam our neighborhood in Austin. That overlap between the exotic and the familiar became the emotional center of the work.

Built from recycled textiles, paper, and fragments of an older painting, the composition layers pattern and surface in a way that feels lush but grounded. Like much of my work, it was shaped intuitively, allowing materials and color relationships to guide the final form. The result is a space that feels collected, vibrant, and slightly untamed—part memory, part present moment.

Prints are produced to order on Hahnemühle Photo Rag, a heavyweight, archival fine-art paper with a soft matte finish.

Each print includes a 2" white border, allowing the work to breathe and making it easy to frame. While my original works are layered and tactile, these prints focus on color, pattern, and composition — designed to translate beautifully into interiors.

Printed using archival inks for long-term color stability.

Unframed prints are shipped flat or rolled (depending on size) and arrive ready for framing.

Framed prints are professionally finished and arrive ready to hang.

All framed works include:

  • A warm white mat

  • UV-protective acrylic glazing

  • A solid wood beaded frame (in black or gold)

This framing was chosen to complement traditional and layered interiors, allowing the artwork to feel finished without overpowering the composition.

About the Frame

The beaded wood frame offers a classic, decorative profile that pairs well with patterned spaces, collected interiors, and Southern-influenced design styles. It adds presence on the wall while remaining versatile enough to work across a range of palettes and rooms. Framing is intentionally curated to keep decisions simple and cohesive for designers and collectors but please contact zelda@zeldaspeightjohnart.com if you have specific framing needs.
