Jubilee, Jubilee
30”x40” mixed media on stretched canvas.
Jubilee, Jubilee is a layered composition that merges the rugged landscapes of Maine, where we spend cherished time with family, with the flora of Central Texas. In this piece, I use manmade materials—specifically textiles—to replicate the forms and textures of plants. The collage incorporates fabric, paper, soft pastels, acrylic paint, and elements from my previous works, which I cut up and recycled into this piece. The result is a celebration of both natural and constructed beauty, capturing the essence of two distinct environments through the interplay of materials and form.
This assemblage is in a private collection.
