Porcelain Pots
40”x30” mixed media on stretched canvas.
This piece delves deeper into my ongoing exploration of the ginger jar motif, a recurring symbol in my work. Unlike previous pieces, Porcelain Pots intentionally sets the jar within an actual garden landscape, blurring the lines between the contained and the natural world. The layers of fabric, paper, and acrylic paint come together to create a composition that feels both curated and organic, reflecting the tension between our desire to collect and the uncontrollable beauty of the outdoors.
